How do I update the logo, banner, and departments on our eForms page?

The eForms page is the public page where residents find and open your online applications. System administrators control how it looks and which forms it lists from the Public Forms tab in Account Settings. A live preview on the right side of the screen updates as you make changes. Nothing changes on the public page until you click Save changes.

Open the Public Forms settings

  1. Go to Account Settings.
  2. Click the Public Forms tab.

Update the look of the page

  • Logo: Click Upload to use an image file, or paste an image address. The logo appears in the top left of the page.
  • Page title: The heading at the top of the page. A format like "[Municipality Name] eForms" or "[Municipality Name] Forms Center" works well.
  • Return to website: The address of your main website. This creates a "Return to website" link at the bottom of the page.
  • Header contact info: Text shown in the top right. Use it for your address, phone number, email, or website. Press Enter for a new line, and use the link icon to make an address clickable.
  • Banner message: Optional text shown above the search bar. Use it for instructions, reminders, or announcements.
  • Default Color: The color of the header and buttons. Use the color picker or enter a hex code.
  • Display Mode: Choose Inline View to stack department groups down one page, or Tabs View to show each group as a tab across the top.

Add a department group

Forms must belong to a department group before they can appear on the page.

  1. Scroll to the bottom of the settings panel and click + Add Department/Group.
  2. Replace the "New group name" text with the department or group name. This appears as a section header on the page.
  3. Optionally add a group link to that department's page on your website, a group message with instructions for that section, and a group color.

Use the up and down arrows to change the order of groups.

Add, rename, reorder, or remove forms

  1. Inside a group, click + Add Form.
  2. Search or scroll to find the forms, check the boxes next to them, and click Add.
  3. To rename a form, click its name and type a clearer title for residents.
  4. To reorder forms within a group, use the up and down arrows.
  5. To remove a form from the page, click the trash icon. This only removes it from the eForms page. The form and its module stay in GovPilot.

Save and get the link for your website

  1. Click Save changes.
  2. Click Open eForms page to view the live page in a new tab.
  3. Copy the address from the browser and give it to whoever manages your website so they can add a link or button on your homepage.

Things to know

The Public Forms tab controls the page that lists your forms. It does not control the questions inside an individual form. If a form itself has a typo, a wrong label, or needs a new question, reach out to our support team with the form name and what should change.

✅ Pro Tip: Review the eForms page a few times a year and remove forms that are no longer in use, so residents only see what is current.
