How do I reset my password? Or I'm a new user and my activation link expired.

If you’ve forgotten your password or simply want to create a new one, you can reset it directly from the GovPilot login page. 

💡 New user? You can also follow these same steps if your activation link in your welcome email has expired and you need to set a password to access your account.

Steps to Reset Your Password:

1. Go to GovPilot.com and click Sign In (top right corner). (OR go directly to https://www.govpilot.com/sign-in)
   
   
   
   
2. On the login screen, click Forgot your password?
   
   
   
   
3. Enter your Username (the email associated with your GovPilot account) and click Send code.
   
   
   
   
4. Check your email inbox for a message from noreply@govpilot.com. It contains your Verification Code.
   
   ❗If you don't find the email in your inbox, please check your junk or spam folder. If you still can't locate it, consider contacting your IT department to ensure that emails from our organization are recognized as safe and allowed to be delivered directly to your inbox.

5. Enter the 6-digit code back on the password reset page.
   
   
6. Enter a new password and confirm it by entering it again.

   
   ⚠️ Password Requirements:

   • At least 8 characters
   • Includes a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
     
7.  Click Update my password.
   

That's it! You can now log in to your account using your new password.

Best Practices:

• Create a strong password that includes letters, numbers, and special characters.
• Avoid using common or easily guessed passwords (e.g., “password123”).
