If a recipient did not receive a system-generated email—such as a submission confirmation, inspection notice, or status update—you can resend it directly from the Correspondence tab in the Log. This article explains how to locate and resend any system-generated email in GovPilot.
You can access the Log in two ways:

From the Global Log, using the shortcut in the left-hand menu on the Home page

From the Log button in the bottom right corner of a record’s Form View
Steps to Resend an Email

Open the Log window. Click the Correspondence tab.

Locate the email you want to resend using filters for date, module, or email type. Select the row to preview the Email Content on the right-hand side.

Click the Resend this email button located above the Email Content panel.

A confirmation prompt will appear. Click Confirm to resend the email to the original recipient.

Only system-generated emails can be resent through this feature. Emails sent manually outside of GovPilot—for example, from a personal email client like Outlook or Gmail—will not appear in the Correspondence tab.

Use the Email Content preview to verify the message before resending.

This feature can also be used to retry emails that previously failed to deliver. Failed emails are indicated by a failed status in the Correspondence tab.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I resend an email to a different address than the original recipient?
No. The resend function delivers the email to the same address that received the original. To send to a different address, contact your GovPilot administrator.
How far back does the Correspondence tab show email history?
The Correspondence tab displays all system-generated emails associated with the record or, in the Global Log, across all records accessible to your account. Contact GovPilot support for questions about retention limits.
