How do I print a Notice of Violation in the Report a Concern module?
Generate a formal NOV document using the Print Menu, based on violation data in the record.
The Notice of Violation (NOV) is a formal document generated from within the Report a Concern record. It pulls directly from the data in the Violations tab, ensuring that the ordinance information, dates, and other enforcement details are clearly documented. NOVs can be printed or saved as PDFs to send to the property owner or responsible party.
Before you print the NOV
- Enter the Notice Issue Date in the high level information section. This appears on the printed NOV and marks the official issue date of the document.
- Verify the Name and Address in the Property Owner Information are correct — these will appear on the notice as the recipient.
- Make sure the following information has been entered for each entry in the Violations tab:
-
-
Status of the violation (e.g., In Violation, Abated)
-
Comply By Date — the date by which the issue must be resolved
-
Ordinance — selected from your configured list or eCode search
-
Ordinance Title and Description
-
Any violation photos you want to appear on the notice
