How do I move the Support Chat button icon? / It's blocking part of my screen.

You can move the chat icon if it’s covering other areas of the screen, such as the Close button.

If the GovPilot chat button is getting in your way—for example, blocking another button or screen section—you can easily reposition it anywhere on your page.

How to Move the Chat Button

  1. Hover your mouse over the left edge of the chat icon until you see a hand cursor.

  2. Click, hold, and drag the button to another part of your screen where it’s less disruptive.


  3. Release to drop it in place.

This works whether the chat is minimized or expanded.

❗ Note: There is currently no way to turn off, minimize, or shrink the size of the chat icon. The GovPilot team is actively exploring ways to improve the feature based on user feedback.
