How do I issue a replacement Dog License?
Provide a replacement license tag when the original is lost or damaged.
If a resident needs a replacement dog license (for example, if the tag was lost or damaged), you can create one by cloning the original issued record.
To issue a replacement license
- In the bottom left toolbar, click Clone Record.
-
Follow the Cloning Wizard steps:
-
Step 1: Options – Select Same Address and click Next. (Because you selected Same Address, the Step 2: Property Finder step is skipped.)
- Step 3: Subrecords Selection – Keep the default included sub-records (Attachments, Dog License No., Notes, and Transactions) and click Next.
-
Step 4: Submission Summary – Review the address and sub-records to be cloned, then click Clone.
-
-
In the cloned record, go to the Replacement dropdown in the high-level info section and select Yes.
- Click Save.
When you issue a replacement license:
- If your municipality charges a replacement fee, it will be added automatically in the fee breakdown of the Transactions tab.
- The standard license fees are automatically set to $0.00, ensuring that only the replacement fee is applied to the record.
- The original license record remains in the system for history and compliance tracking.
