How do I export data from my views in the Data Viewer to Excel?
Download the data currently shown in your view to a Microsoft Excel file (.xlsx).
The Export feature in the Data Viewer allows you to generate an Excel file of the exact data you're viewing on screen. It only includes the records and fields (columns) currently visible in your selected view—making it a fast way to build on-demand reports without needing a custom report setup.
Steps to export data from your view:
-
Open the Data Viewer
Navigate to the module and select the view that contains the data you want to export. -
Customize the view if needed
Adjust filters and columns first—only visible records and fields will be included in the export. If a field isn't visible in the view, it won't appear in the download. -
Choose your export option
-
To export ALL the records in the current view: Click Export All in the toolbar.
-
To export only specific records: Check the boxes next to the records you want. The button will change to Export Selected (X), showing how many records you've selected.
✅ Note: Clicking the checkbox at the top selects all records on the current page (up to 50 at a time). You cannot select more than 50 records per export using this method.

-
Download the Excel file
Your export will download as a
.xlsxfile and save to your computer’s default Downloads folder. To find the file:-
Check your Downloads folder via your file browser (e.g., File Explorer on Windows or Finder on Mac).
-
Or, click the downloaded file directly from the browser’s download bar (typically at the top or bottom of your browser window, depending on your settings).
